For the most part this game is able to play at full speed but it has frequent drops in frame rate/game speed (Tied together for this game) whenever you hit an area with a lot going on. From what I can gather this is because the game itself maxed out the performance of the original PS2 hardware and has always had a hard time maintaining the targeted 60 FPS. A lot of the times when there are stutters or slowdowns it is because the internal engine of the game itself is designed to drop the FPS to 30 FPS in CPU demanding scene (The game's FPS will drop to 30 FPS, but the game-speed will remain at 100%). Because of this I found the game to be kind of a stuttery mess in a lot of levels or individual scenes but I'm not sure if using more powerful hardware or a different emulator would actually fix this since its a problem with the game itself. I tried many different emulator trick to try and force better performance, like increasing the emulated CPU speed through the EE options to overclock and EE Skip set to 1, but these genuinely seemed to have no effect on the actual performance of the game. As for performance of the tablet I found that it was more than capable of playing the game at full speed (When the game allowed) and only occasionally would drop below 100% speed. It was able to handle 2x - 3x up-scaling and the HD texture packs, but this tended to push the power draw up past 7W which caused the tablet's battery to 37-38 C. I was able to mitigate this high temperature by having the device directly in front of my fan but I ended up just lowering it to the native resolution and to the regular textures as a way lower the TDP. In the end, I did manage to play through the entire game and eventually just got used to the choppy performance as it is just a quirk of the game. However, if you are looking to play this game without any slowdowns I'd recommend playing it on a beefy PC and streaming it to the tablet through Artemis/Apollo. This will probably still have some slowdown as the game is simply designed to yo-yo between 30 FPS and 60 FPS, but you'll be able to enjoy 4x resolution and HD textures without toasting your tablet. That or you can wait for either the Remake version to be released (Which is hinted to be a Revelations DLC but this might not have the same gameplay) or wait until a Recomp comes out. **Tablet's Performance Report:** Tablet's Game Assistant Mode: Performance Mode Tablet's Screen Refresh Rate Mode: Extreme (120-165 Hz) Average CPU Usage: 3.05 GHz (Max Speed) Average GPU Usage: 310+ MHz (High Speed) Average Frame Rate: 30-60 FPS but usually 100% game speed Average Battery Temperature: <30 C (Low Temps), 30-37 C (Medium Temps) Average Power Draw: 4-7 W (Medium Power), 6-8 W (High Power), 8-10 W (Very High Power) **General Notes about the Lenovo Y700 Gen3:** With this device, the most limiting factor to performance is the heat management. This device lacks any sort of fan or any other form of active cooling, as such is the case, it struggles to maintain a suitable internal temperature of below 40C/104F when running at max performance. To minimize heat damage to your device I highly suggest that you use several setting to limit it's performance and power draw while gaming. Settings such as; using Standard Mode for the Screen Refresh Rate (60Hz Mode), activating Balanced Mode in Game Assistant to limit CPU clock speed (0.67-2.04GHz CPU speed), limiting game resolution to 720p x 30 FPS for 3D games and 720p x 60 FPS for 2D games, using the lowest in-game graphical settings, and using the latest Turnip Drivers and Android Bionics (arm64ec) components. Using some or all of these tweaks will allow the tablet to keep it's power draw under 7 Watts, which will allow it to maintain a healthy 35-40 C internal temperature. To monitor the tablet's Wattage I use an app called Wattz, and for all other metrics I use the floating icons provided by Lenovo Game Assistant.
