Note - this is the original PC release of GOW1 on Games for Windows Live, not Reloaded or Ultimate. You’ll need to bypass the launcher and in order to do that you have to overwrite an html file in “ C/users/[username]/Application Data/Microsoft Games/Gears of War/CurrentSite/default.html” https://pastebin.com/CyU6gZYg go to this link and either copy all the text or download it as a file named default.html and save it in a directory you can get to in your container Try launching the game so it will generate the necessary game config directory in the C drive - you’ll see that the launcher doesn’t fully load. Overwrite the original default.html with the new one in the C directory listed above (your username in GH is steamuser) You may need to install VCRedist 2005 and/or 2008, and DX 10 (not required) Someone mentioned you need to skip the intro videos by adding “-nomoviestartup” as a command line function (under general game settings tab in gamehub lite) But not sure if it’s necessary I experienced some issues turning on DX10/Anti-Aliasing so I left it off (didn’t check if I had it installed so test for yourself or leave it off) There’s some minor stutters but otherwise solid high 50s fps on 720p max settings. The game takes a full 1-2 minutes to load the main menu (perhaps from the skipped intro videos not sure) and loading missions takes another minute.
